I am surprised to see the Emmaus Conference referred to as a long term planning conference. I attended the conference and got the impression that we’ll cease to exist while making long term plans. What we need is immediate resuscitation.

I think the PCC needs to move past endlessly discussing the concept of renewal towards developing a concrete, collective vision for authentic Reformed renewal. Until this happens we’ll never be able to start implementing changes in any meaningful way at the local level. The national church can play an important role in moving this process along.
