Extensive publicity is given to the case of an excommunicated minister. Is this consistent with Christian charity and the injunction to love our enemies? Surely a short notice of the special commission’s decision would have been sufficient. There is no mention of the possibility that the person concerned may suffer from a mental or emotional disorder.
